Although I’m a little disappointed that my screenplay did not make the finals, I’m honored that it did make the semifinals. I look forward to taking part in your competition in the future.
I wish just once you had a contest that the winner would be the script with the most potential of making a billion dollars because it is show BUSINESS and after reading the loglines of the finalists I would suspect that most people would not walk across the street with free tickets to see any of these stories. I know that sounds harsh but it’s the truth.
How did you get access to the loglines? Are you sure they were not from 2021?
Agree 100%.
If titles could receive awards, they are all Gold Medal Winners! Congratulations to everybody.
Congrats to the winners. I’ve learned a lot this year writing screenplays everyday and always learning more. Happy to have made the semi-finals on my first try.

I will never enter another BlueCat contest again. I have thirty years of experience under my belt and more than 400 television credits. I’m also one of the most experienced film doctors on the planet — verifiably. Show business is a business. Viewers deserve films that are as smart as they are entertaining. Producers deserve a return on their investment. There should be no conflict between art and commerce…. If you truly were choosing strong scripts with commercial appeal, every studio would be lining up to produce the winners — year after year — and those scripts would be box office hits and Oscar contenders. Please do some soul searching and figure out where you really belong: in Hollywood — or the faculty lounge.
